World Menstrual Hygiene Day - 28 May

On the occasion of "World Menstrual Hygiene Day - 28 May", an awareness program on "Menstrual Hygiene Management" and sanitary pad distribution program was organized by Pragati Path Foundation at Nandghar of Bharthara Gram Panchayat of Baragaon development block of Varanasi district.

It was told in the awareness program that menstruation is not a curse but a physical process. During this time, mothers and sisters should not hesitate but should pay attention to personal hygiene.

It was agreed to establish a pad bank in Bharthara Gram Panchayat, Pragati Path Foundation is also starting a pad bank by the end of this month. From where women and adolescent girls will be provided one pad for one rupee. Pragati Path Foundation has started the sixth pad bank of the block.
