Prevention of child marriage, child labor and human trafficking.

 Monthly review meeting of Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) Rural was organized at Police Station Phulpur, Varanasi. In the meeting, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee Mrs. Sneha Upadhyay, Child Welfare Officer Varanasi Mrs. Nirupama Singh, Divisional Technical Advisor UNICEF Rizwana ji, AHTU in-charge SI Ashish Patel, Child Welfare Police Officers of all eleven rural police stations, General Secretary of Pragati Path Foundation Mrs. Neelam Patel. . And President Mr. Deepak Pujari and Sunil Kumar from Action-Aid, representatives of voluntary organizations working in the field of child rights and child protection in rural areas participated.


The topics of discussion in the meeting were child marriage, child labor and human trafficking.

Menstruation Education for Rural Women and Adolescent- MERA:-

  large number of girls and women have to face the problem of menstruation. They cannot express the situation because our society does not allow fighting and talking about this stigma with respect to their dignity. The health of girls and women is a big issue. Pragati Path Foundation continuously works with women and adolescent girls freedom from words like stigma which given by the society. Pragati Path Foundation organizes meetings and awareness about menstrual education and ensures distribution and use of sanitary pads through pad banks. Pad women have ensures beneficiaries and delivers the benefits of pad bank to the beneficiaries and talks about menstrual education.
