At Pragati Path Foundation believe that young girls should not be left alone to make these tough choices. They should be supported, empowered and allowed to have their menstrual periods in a safe, confident and dignified manner; we came up with MERA Project in 5 Gram Panchayat at Baragaon Block, Varanasi. The aim of this project is to break the silence on menstrual matters, debunk the myths and misconceptions on this subject area, and sensitizes boys and girls on menstruation and to donate sanitary napkin to needy girls of menstrual age. While we have been reaching out to these young girls, we need support in order to reach out to more under-served areas, marginalized populations and vulnerable groups.
