SHADES program is to increase the social and economic participation of women artisan with the aim of ensuring recognition of women working in handicrafts as artisans and providing a stable platform for their economic development. SHADES (strength on handicraft and dignity of entrepreneur women artisans) program is being run for women artisan. It is working on recognising the women working in wooden crafts as craftsmen and developing entrepreneurship in them while providing them a stable market. Under which we are working towards providing a stable market to women artisans by developing understanding on various issues through various programmes and making them financially independent. Under Shades Project, we have also tried to connect women craftsmen from 3 clusters of Varanasi who are famous for wooden crafts making, with this program which includes Karoma village of Harahua cluster, Kashmiriganj and Sarainandan area from Khojwaa cluster and women craftsmen from Hasanpur cluster.
